Check your UK CBAM exposure

A simple CDS/CSV review tool is being developed. It will help you identify imports that may need UK CBAM attention.

A simple review tool, not a sign-up form

The checker is not available yet. When it launches, it will help importers review a CDS or broker CSV export for potentially in-scope goods, threshold exposure and missing emissions information.

What you can do in the meantime

  1. Ask your broker for a CSV of the past 12 months’ import declarations.
  2. Make sure it includes tax-point date, 8-digit commodity code, declared value, net mass and origin.
  3. Compare the codes against HMRC’s CBAM scope list.
  4. Use the in-scope values to begin monitoring the £50,000 threshold.

Why start with customs data?

Commodity code, value and weight are foundational to UK CBAM. A useful checker should make those declaration records easier to review; it should not replace proper customs classification, supplier verification or HMRC reporting.

Data note: this site does not accept customs-data uploads or collect contact details at this stage.
